A Sofa Full of Poodles

Filed under: Meet the Family — Scott and Judi @ 8:00 pm

Judi was trying to snooze on the sofa when she was overcome by furry friends. First Creole jumped up and laid across her, then Gumbo jumped up to her left and took up the rest of the space.

Happy New Year to all!

  1. Judi and Scott,

We KNOW exactly what sharing the sofa is all about — Killee gets his 3/4s, we get the rest! We’re seriously thinking about a King-size bed [currently, we’re in a Queen] so Killee can stretch his paws at night….gosh - he’s huge. Just weighed in before Christmas at 54 lbs…..and growing…!!!
YIKES! It must be all the NutroMax and Pig’s Ears — and LOVE!!!

    Happy New Year,
Lance, Lahni and Achilles [AKA “Killee”]

  2. PS - Creole is one GORGEOUS poodle girl. Gumbo is strikingly handsome — looks like Killee, only lighter….
We bet the puppers on your street - male AND female - are taking second glances….regularly!
    Cheers!

  3. Hi Lahni,
We might have to get a bigger sofa. We have a king bed and there still isn’t room for us and even one of these poodles. When we are traveling and living in our fifth-wheel trailer, it is almost funny how much room the dogs take up in the smaller space. Oh well…whatcha gonna do? Love ‘em! That’s what.

  4. I Have a twin bed and when both Reagan and Shlyly are on there, there is no room left for me!! So they get turns sleeping on mommy’s bed, and when Reagan is off the bed, he just chews on my shoes, or on my hairbrush. He loves playing with the toys that we got him for Christmas. There is a goose that makes a honking sound. He LOVES it! We also got him a squirrel toy and he loves walking around the house with it in his mouth, squeaking it along the way!

  5. We have a king size bed and had Meg our female standard and Ed our male plus our cat in the bed the other night. It was a tight squeeze!

  6. Jess - Achilles ‘Killee” — Reagan’s brother — got a duck and a rabbit [both honk — and look very real] for Christmas. He goes around the house “honking them in his mouth as well. AND he knows the difference between the rabbit and the duck — we tell him “Killee, get your duck” or “Achilles, get rabbit” he is so smart he knows which one to go and get…..I cannot get over how smart these poodles are. I had a toy poodle for nearly 17 years and I thought he was smart — Achilles is brilliant….you tell him something once and he gets it….very human. And all he wants to do is please — he’s always so happy - smiles all the time…..

Please post a recent photo of Reagan and Shlyly…….

    Regards-

  8. Hi Monca,
Thanks for the compliment. We love our pooches! I am from Alexandria, currently living in East Texas. We got Creole first and when we decided to get the boy, Gumbo seemed to be the only logical thing to name him :)
Post pictures of your pup if you want. This site is open for all to use and brag!
    Thanks for the comment.
