Somebody Got a Haircut. And More Photos.
We took Gumbo to a different groomer this time and the results were much better. Here are a few pictures of him taken this morning after we got home from the groomer. He’s sooooo soft and fluffy and he looks much more like a Poodle. He was pretty shaggy on his face before we took him. We are going to keep his fur about as long as it is now, so now he and Creole are on the same grooming schedule. That makes it easier for us.
This is a picture of Creole also taken today. Below that is a picture of both of them lounging in the grass.
As you can see, Gumbo is rapidly approaching Creole in size.

Gumbo looks so handsome after his grooming. It is hard keeping two poodles on a grooming schedule. We have to take one in one Saturday and one in the next Saturday. Our groomer can only handle one Standard Poodle per day. We keep them a little shorter than Gumbo now, since they last longer between groomings. I am trying to get their leg pompoms going though. Meg’s are good, but Ed’s need to grow more.

Wow, I never thought about that. I will ask our groomer if she can do two poodles in a day. We have no real plans to get them too “poofy” but that is likely to change somewhere down the road. These are our first poodles and we are still trying to get over what wonderful dogs they are. Sooner or later we are bound to try to develop their shape.

Scott and Judi - Creole and Gumbo are BEAUTIFUL!!! I had to do a double take — it’s amazing how much Creole looks like Killee. I will try to reduce the photo sizes and upload Killee from the 15th when he was groomed. He “survived” us being gone to Ireland nine days — Suzette and her staff at Riverside Kennel in Fort Worth [www.riverside-kennel.com] was simply wonderful to Killee. They spoiled him and when we picked him up he kissed them goodbye. Glad to have our baby back — we went online constantly while overseas to watch him on the Riverside Kennel webcam. Our friends even called to check up on Killee.
Enough about our boy — you two have beautiful babies!!! Still can’t get over how pretty Creole is. We’ve got to get together and go the tthe park for a play day when you’re in town. Let us know.

Okay - call me crazy — it’s the jetlag!
I meant — Gumbo and Killee look alike! Poor Creole, she’s probably thinking, man I’m no red-headed boy poodle!!
I’m one, hot-looking babe, black, GIRL poodle!!!

Yes, Gumbo looks like my Apricot male Bob, although it is hard to tell from the pictures. My female is red. I will have to figure out how to post pics to your blog so you can see what they look like. I can take some pics of them now, but they are in need of grooming which they are scheduled for in a week or two. We don’t do it ourselfs, except sometimes the face and feet in between groomings.

How do I add a pic of Ed and Meg to your site? Ours are red and apricot. Are any of your Poodles ancestors from Majestic Poodles in Florida?

To add a pic of your dog, just create an account and make a post. On the page where you enter your post you can scroll down and upload your photo. Please set the photo to 500 pixels wide so it keeps the parameters of the site in shape.

Oh my gosh! The dogs look so much like Shyly and Reagan! Reagan is now HUGE and a lot bigger than Shyly! He is about four or five inches taller! It is amazing how fast they grow, isn’t it?!?
